Sunday 25th September was the start of a gruelling few days for Trav Wood as he sets off his week long challenge for CCAA at the Cheltenham half marathon.
Trav will complete two half marathons a week apart BUT…will run from one to the other in between, which is the equivalent to 6 marathons in 6 days to make it to his final half marathon in Lincoln. Totalling an impressive total of over 182 miles in 8 days!
Trav has been training incredibly hard for this so if you are in the areas he is running or if you see him please get out and give him some support. He will be wearing his bright yellow CCAA t-shirt!
His running plan is as follows:
- Sun 25 Sept – compete in the Cheltenham half marathon.
- Mon 26 Sept – Cheltenham to Evesham
- Tue 27 Sept – Evesham to Warwick
- Wed 28 Sept – Warwick to Leicester
- Thu 29 Sept – Leicester to Bingham
- Fri 30 Sept – Bingham to Newark
- Sat 1 Oct – Newark to Lincoln
- Sun 2 Oct – compete in the Lincoln half marathon
Travhas raised over £1200 so far for his incredible challenge. If you would like to donate to his challenge for the charity you can do so on his JustGiving page.
As part of his route he will be staying in hotels along the way to get some much needed rest. Trav would like to thank all of the hotels and companies that have donated rooms and services to help him in his challenge.
You can follow Trav on the CCAA Facebook page as he keeps us updated with how he is getting on along the way.
Everyone at CCAA wishes you the very best of luck today and for the coming week Trav. Please keep us updated and good luck!
